It was the adventure that drew me in, but the teaching & training was so full of wisdom, truth and immensely useful for living a radical Christian life! The leader's guidance, both in my spiritual walk and leadership skills has been amazing, it has changed me so much, helped me understand my identity in Christ & my roll as a leader. Soul Edge helped me realise how incredible my God is!

I love the culture Soul Edge immediately creates in the first few days;  people being vulnerable, opening up to each other and feeling safe.

There are few seasons of my life that have had as much impact as Soul Edge. Amongst the unforgettable adventure and community I discovered some incredible things - a new confidence in God, a new sense of Jesus’ calling over my life, and a new depth of relationship with Him - all of which have lasted through the years. As a youth pastor today, I can’t stop myself from recommending young people to sign up!

God showed me how much more He is than I had previously experienced or even imagined. To be hungry for more and not limit Him to my human understanding. The culture that we lived in, the people we were surrounded by, the opportunities we had and the way God met us has put a new passion in my heart to see His Kingdom touch people's hearts. I feel called and more equipped to do the work that Jesus has prepared for us and to say yes to God in the big things and in the every-day little ones!

Soul Edge was one of the most transformative times of my life. Learning more about God alongside a group of people my age gave me the first glimpse into what life looks like when lived in Christ-centred community. The culture of honour and vulnerability that infiltrated all parts of our lives has paved the way for what are now some of the most meaningful friendships that I have. Not only was it an opportunity for personal growth but it was also tremendous fun, as each day of hiking and swimming and laughter taught us to rejoice in the goodness of the God who made us. But most of all, for me, it began the journey of moving God from being simply an unknown occupant in my mind to an active presence in my heart - a presence that has changed my life.

It's almost more difficult to not grow while on Soul Edge. The persistence to uphold a culture of love and appreciation for everyone has been inspirational to me, and to be called higher when I did not succeed in this area has been amazing. The sense of oneness and Christian community is truly life changing and I have loved it so much.

When your 17-year-old takes off to the other side of the world, with people you don't know, you ask yourself if you were wise to let them go…. well, as parents of a newly returned Soul Edger, we can confidently say it is the best thing we could have let our daughter do. I think she has learned on Soul Edge what many followers of Jesus take half their lives to learn - if ever. She is full of a new warmth, empathy and deep desire to live in the fullness of God's Kingdom.

I know a number of young leaders who have come to our church after doing Soul Edge and there is a marked difference in their character, competency and discipleship to Jesus - what your organisation does is clearly extremely effective and Kingdom-building, and we are very grateful for your ministry. Cassidy has come back a different and much more mature person in so many ways. Her faith in God has taken off and has been cemented in her heart as her reason for living. Her love of adventure and challenging herself in the outdoors has just exploded! And her depth as a person who is aware of and proactive in her emotional and deeper soul journey has ignited.  She also has a sense of the greater world out there and the innumerable opportunities that life offers and the kind of trips and adventures she can dream of for the future. God's definitely got her heart now!
